New Tea service at the Excelsior Palace

Our latest proposal is the introduction of a new and rich carte with leaf tea from China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and India.

These teas are difficult to find locally, therefore the Hotel offers this truly unique selection served in the splendid setting of the Yachting Bar. Of course, it retains the standard rules of English traditional service, in fact, all teas are in leaves and always accompanied by homemade pastries.

Among the wide range available three particular proposals deserve special mention.

The first is the novelty of “Love at First Sight”tea, a bouquet with green tea which is prepared in front of Guests. It consists of scenic tea in a special glass with a bouquet of marigold that, in contact with hot water, opens and blossoms like a flower.

The second innovation is the introduction of a famous Japanese green tea, the “Matcha”, the preciuous qualities used in the famous “Tea Ceremony” in the land of the Rising Sun.

Finally, we can not forget the Excelsior Afternoon Tea, which provides, in combination with the tea you choose, the well-known scones (typical English sweets like small cakes, but less sweet) served with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
